Sam Fox vs. a Cosmic Dancer

» Listening

Dance pop is one area of music where I’ll happily roll around in the aesthetic gutter. A few years ago I saw a music video by Page 3 girl cum pop star Samantha Fox. It was bouncy fun, the dance equivalent of the old bubblegum rock. When somebody brought Samantha Fox’s Greatest Hits into the shop Sunday I was happy. Gordon would’ve never bought it.

Sadly it isn’t up to kindred offerings by Jody Watley and Taylor Dane. Not her fault, dance pop is producer’s music. The real blemish is that some of it is mediocre rock. My tastes in rock music are much stricter.

Which reminds me that Gordon made a copy of the new reissue of Electric Warrior. Goodbye Sam, I’m going to listen to some spaced-out bubble gum by a pretty jeepster.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Sam Fox vs. a Cosmic Dancer. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
