Most gay men are chasing a hung and hairy macho ideal. All heterosexual men are hoping to encounter a woman who captures their embodiment of womanhood (to be fair some are just looking for a good person who has to be female but sweeping generalizations are fun).
Not I. Without knowing my young self was seduced. My orientation has always been towards the androgynous male. A bit of girl, plenty of boy. Ideally content to dwell between or in both worlds of gender quality. So I've scoured the web searching for images of androgyny. Hence this cover of a French novel featuring a blonded young man with eyes darkened by decadent pursuits.
