I remember when my friends looked like that (I looked much like Mouse in the Tales of the City TV show, but butcher).

Aren't you glad they came out? Maybe your life would be different if they hadn't. We've moved from the days of gay liberation to gay assimilation. And the most assimilated whine when a political party historically aligned with homophobes isn't sweet to them. Poor babies.

Though I came out when I found out at eighteen my kindest wishes for those of you who had to struggle to come out or have yet to summon up the moxie to say "2-4-6-8 gay is better than straight!"
